The Domus Magnus by Casa Magna Cigars, blended by Manuel Quesada is a limited edition stogie.

Wrapper is a Sun Grown Nicaraguan (Jalapa Valley)
Binder is Nicaraguan
Filler Nicaraguan
Body, medium to Full
This box pressed cigar has very smooth appearance with relatively no vein properties to the wrapper, a pigtail tops of this beauty. A Casa Magna ring with a light butter nut yellow color and a foot ring designating the Domus Magnus limitada label as well is present.
The feel of this stogie is medium firm to the touch.
Pre light draw yields no hint of the the notes to follow. Initially, pepper is notable. Not an overbearing pepper but pepper none the less, especially when nosehaled. Hints of chocolate and a subtle fruityness (unknown) are evident as well. The pepper almost immediately subsides and becomes non existent through the first third. The chocolate and fruity notes are the predominate.
By midpoint, hints of leather a touch of nut is also apparent. Still the chocolate lingers on the lips throughout

The burn of this stogie is very straight, and it produces a considerable amount of smoke and has an effortless draw. The ash is light and drops off easily. This is what I expected when the feel of the cigar was not extremely tight, firm but not tight.
By the bottom third, the nuttyness has become predominant and the chocolate and fruit are simply nuances. The leather is just in the background but holds on.

Overall this is a smooth and very special cigar. It burns wonderfully and evolves from end to end.
The price point for a limited edition cigar like this would be expected to be much higher but at about 9 bucks WOW! Definately a recommend, with two thumbs up!

El Cubanito Cigar Reviews

As I get to the second third the pepper appears to be mellowing a bit. I notice what seems to be a chocolate note emerging. This chocolate develops through the second third and all but replaces the pepper, which has faded away by the end of the second third. The pepper that was primary and strong on nosehale throughout the first third is barely noticeable throughout the second third. The chocolate lingers on the palate, very pleasantly mingles again with what I perceive as clove or cinnamon again. The burn is relatively razor sharp and the tight white ash holds on really well. i pondered not ashing until it dropped on its own but tipped it at the last third to avoid the ash to the chest hairs and in the pool.
This cigar is a complex one with plenty of power and a long finish. I can only compare it to the other Tatuajes in this family, the 2003, and the Black Tube as they appear to share some similarities. Although a wonderful cigar overall, I still regard the 2003 Cojonu as my personal favorite, but I will never turn one of these down as it is definately a great cigar and a pleasure through and through.
