History
From Cuban descent, la familia Sotolongo , I was introduced to cigars by my grandfather Gerardo Aguirre. He loved his cigars. He would always light one up on the way to his bodega, “La Caridad del Cobre” in Ybor City, Tampa. All through my childhood I was exposed to the wonderfully, intoxicating aroma of his fine cigars. In my teens he took me to a small cigar factory in Ybor City and I was amazed at the operation.
I began to sample cigars and over the years become intrigued at how many different blends were available and how each had a distinct aroma, taste and complexity. I find myself to date still in awe at how the cigar industry is evolving, with so many new blends being introduced. I now find myself in a position to find the most desirable blends to offer my clients, in hopes of perpetuating the joy and pleasure of enjoying a fine cigar.
